Academics

Overview of an Outstanding Academic System and Courses Offered at DRCEF.

Across our 2 main academic programs, we offer 6 subjects covering a range of topics on DR Congo. The Education Foundation was set up to accelerate and support the knowledge of DR Congo for its diaspora and beyond. In order to achieve our goals, we have set up a foundation curriculum.

Education is a human right, a powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing lack of identity. We have developed a Foundation curriculum that promotes the historical, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the foundation.

The Foundation curriculum provides pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge of the DR Congo. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said regarding DR Congo history; and helps engender an appreciation of Congolese heritage and culture.

The curriculum is just one element in the education of the Congolese diaspora offered at the foundation. There is provision provided to range beyond the foundation curriculum specifications. The foundation curriculum provides an outline of the core knowledge around which instructors can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider foundation curriculum.
